Under Armour’s is out with a new “I Will Protect This House” commercial, and the apparel company’s latest offering features female athletes, most notably Olympic gold medalist skier Lindsey Vonn. The ad shows Vonn training, lifting weights and standing on a balance ball. The commercial also features Olympic track athlete Monica Hargrove and Lauren Cheney of the USA national soccer team. DENVER — Liz Reynolds says life is getting back to normal a week after an escaped prisoner held her hostage in her home on Colorado’s eastern plains.

Reynolds told Denver’s KUSA-TV says she was doing her normal chores around her home near Yuma Aug. 25 when she walked back in her house and found 48-year-old Douglas Alward.

Latest Update CMA Awards 2010: The CMA Awards 2010 nominations list is out, and it looks like a whole lot of singer/songwriter parents will have to call a babysitter! They’ll be having a night out of the house on Nov. 10 when the awards are announced.

Dreamy dads Keith Urban and Brad Paisley are among the artists up for the Entertainer of the Year Award, along with Miranda Lambert, who got a record nine nominations. Read on for the list of nominees announced on “Good Morning America” today.

Lambert will be competing with Martina Miranda McBride (mom of three) and Reba McEntire (mom or stepmom to four) for top female vocalist.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado wildlife officers have killed a mother bear and her two cubs after the cubs broke into a home.

The bears got into the house Tuesday after pushing down on the door handle. Retired state District Judge Richard Hall says the bears rummaged through his trash and opened a drawer. The cubs fled through a window when he yelled at them.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — A doctor involved in an “on-again, off-again” relationship apparently tried to force her way into her boyfriend’s home by sliding down the chimney, police said Tuesday. Her decomposing body was found there three days later.

Dr. Jacquelyn Kotarac, 49, first tried to get into the house with a shovel, then climbed a ladder to the roof last Wednesday night, removed the chimney cap and slid feet first down the flue, Bakersfield police Sgt. Mary DeGeare said.

WASHINGTON — Democrats’ House campaign committee is starting its first advertising blitz of the fall election cycle Tuesday with a TV spot hammering Wisconsin GOP candidate Sean Duffy, one of several Republicans who are threatening to wrest an open Democratic seat.

The ad charges that Duffy, running for the Republican nomination to succeed retiring Rep. David Obey, favors privatizing Social Security. It’s the first salvo in what promises to be a series of highly negative ads by Democrats as they fight an uphill battle to keep control of the House in a toxic political environment.
